Josh Randall Bio
Josh Randall began working in the California K-14 market immediately upon graduating with a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1994. He has worked continuously in the K-14 market since then and has over 30 years’ experience working with the Division of the State Architect (DSA). He obtained his master’s degree in engineering with a structural emphasis from Cal State Long Beach while working full time.
His work experience includes the structural engineering of building structures, encompassing all areas of building design, including value engineering, project management, analysis, quality assurance, and construction administration. In addition to new construction, his experience also includes numerous modernization and renovation projects as well as extensive experience with the Seismic Mitigation Program (SMP) for the rehabilitation or replacement of existing seismically vulnerable K-12 school structures.
He has maintained past plan-checking contracts with both the San Diego and Los Angeles offices of DSA and has served on the DSA Existing Building Task Force.
