DSA PSCC Member, Jason Scanlan
Jason Scanlan has over 23 years of experience in structural engineering, specializing in K-14 projects across Northern California. His portfolio ranges from small signage installations to district-wide HVAC upgrades and the design of new campuses. Jason's true passion lies in the reuse and renovation of existing buildings. In addition to project design, he is a 3rd party plan reviewer for DSA. He also served on the Division of the State Architect's (DSA) statewide Existing Building Task Force, discussing the rehabilitation requirements for school buildings. Jason is passionate about Design-Build delivery, and believes projects achieve the best results when all stakeholders are involved early. He graduated cum laude from UC Davis with a degree in civil engineering and is a DBIA Associate.
He has extensive experience working on K-14 projects, focusing on structural design, value engineering, and project management. Jason is also passionate about collaborating with teams early in the Design-Build process to deliver the best results. Additionally, he has provided third-party plan review for DSA and contributed to discussions regarding the rehabilitation of existing school buildings.
