Commissioner Sarahann Shapiro is special counsel at Spencer Fane, a professional law corporation, and concentrates her practice in the area of Commercial Real Estate, representing clients in transactions and litigation. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Political Science from the University of California at Riverside in 1988 and her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University in 1991. Commissioner Shapiro is active with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) at the state and local levels and is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Silicon Valley.

Commissioner Shapiro is also serving as Director of the Real Estate Center and Professor in Residence of Real Estate at Menlo College. In that role, she enjoys teaching the next generation of real estate professionals and connecting college students and Menlo College to the real estate industry.

Commissioner Shapiro is the CBPA Appointee to the Commission.
