Juan Alanis

Assemblymember Juan Alanis is an experienced law enforcement officer with a career spanning almost three decades, during which he has received awards for his bravery in saving lives. He was elected in the 22nd Assembly District, which covers portions of the Central Valley.
As a legislator, Assemblymember Alanis is committed to using his expertise in public safety to shape policies that make Californians safer. He plans to reduce the living costs for working-class families, protect the water rights of the Central Valley, and be a strong advocate for the Agricultural and Business communities in the 22nd District.
Assemblymember Alanis served as a committee chair of the California Office of Emergency Service Search and Rescue Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program, where he was responsible for developing policies and procedures for the use of drones in emergency search and rescue operations.
