ADA Compliance is important and crucial for accessibility, compliance for an existing building can be additionally challenging.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) calls for every public entity that employs 50 or more persons to designate at least one employee to coordinate its efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under the ADA (Regulation §35.107). The State entity must make the name, office address, and telephone number of the ADA Coordinator readily available to all interested individuals.

CCDA on a quarterly basis, identifies and tabulates the number of demand letters and complaints received by the commission. CCDA shall further ascertain whether a complaint was filed in state or federal court and tabulate the number of complaints filed in state or federal court, respectively.
