Contributor in the Inception of the CCDA
The California Business Properties Association (CBPA) held an Industry Awards Dinner and 50th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Former California Commission on Disability Access (CCDA) Executive Director, Angela Jemmott, was invited to celebrate the achievements of Rex Hime who served as President and CEO of CBPA for 37 years. Ms. Jemmott, along with CCDA Vice Chair Doug Wiele, created a video tribute to honor Mr. Hime’s contributions to CPBA.
The inception of the CCDA was by the collaborative efforts of Rex Hime and CBPA in partnership with the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers. The goal was to establish a venue for understanding and dialogue between the business community and the disability community. Rex Himes showed a passion for his work and the CCDA thanks him for his success in bring together these communities.
