Chair Commissioner Chris Downey takes being an architect to a whole new level. His positive attitude to life is shown in this 60 Minutes interview when he talks about his success as a blind architect after becoming fully blind at the age of 45 from the removal of a tumor on his optic nerve. He takes his architectural approach of Universal Design in his work that allows accessibility to all. Chair Commissioner Chris Downey is dedicated to creating a more helpful and enriching environment for the blind and visually impaired.
