James Haskin

Commissioner Haskin of Fremont is currently the director of preconstruction at All Temperature Service Air Conditioning (ATS Air), where he oversees mechanical engineering, estimating and acceptance testing. He is MATE certified. ATS Air is a mechanical contractor specializing in commercial and light industrial design-build HVAC, hydronic, plumbing and controls in the San Francisco Bay Area. During the last 16 plus years, he has helped the company grow from 1.2 million dollars in sales to a 54-million-dollar company.

Mr. Haskin finds it especially rewarding helping to build a company that fosters an atmosphere of honesty, integrity and loyalty both within the company and in customer relationships. He is passionate about the environment and believes strongly in personal responsibility.

With over 25 years in the industry, Commissioner Haskin has worked in management, design, estimating and project management, much of that time acting as engineer of record and working directly with clients, architects and code officials. He has also represented his company at both local and national meetings, trade conferences and training seminars with the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association. His experience as a design professional and in business management gives him a broad perspective on the practical impacts of building regulations.
