The former Reedley Armory had been identified as excess to the needs of the California Military Department.  The site was selected as a suitable site for the development of affordable housing.

The state property is located at 601 East 11th Street, Reedley, Fresno County. Developing entity Self-Help Enterprises will receive a long-term ground lease from the State and will build 48 100% affordable units, own, and manage the housing they develop, subject to oversight from the State.
