Upcoming San Mateo County Listening Forum March 2025

Join the California Commission on Disability Access (CCDA) and the Center for Independence of Individuals with Disabilities (CID) San Mateo for a discussion on disability access tips to ensure a business is accessible to serve all customers!
The listening forum, Disability Compliance at Places of Business to Improve Access for All, will be an in-person only event that amplifies the voice of customers to help small business owners enhance accessibility. This event will bring together representatives from local and state government, small businesses, and the disability community to discuss real-world challenges and solutions for improving access to San Mateo County businesses for customers with disabilities. There will be a training on key basics of business accessibility, a panel discussion, and a Q&A session.
This CCDA listening forum will provide small business owners with insights from the disability community about accessibility experiences and needs. It can help business owners or operators better understand how to create a more welcoming and inclusive space for all customers.
Registrants will have the opportunity to submit an access-related question in advance, with selected questions answered live at the listening forum.
If you are a small business owner looking to enhance accessibility for your customers or a person with a disability interested in how your community is talking about business accessibility, this Listening Forum is for you!
