Summary:
The Project shall be approximately 285,000 gross square feet (gsf) of 240 beds and support functions. The facility is located on approximately 11.7 acres within the existing campus at the Veterans Home of California, Yountville Campus. The project will comply with both CEQA and NEPA requirements and treatment of eligible historic resources under California Public Resources Code (PRC), Sections 5024 and 5024.5 and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended. The Yountville campus is a recognized historic district which is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and is a historic property under Section 106, as well as a historical resource under PRC 5024.
The State is using the "Design-Build" method of project delivery for the design and construction of the Project. The State will use a two-step process to select the DBE for the Project:
- Step 1 - REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) - pre-qualification of DBEs.
- Step 2 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) - up to the five (5) most qualified DBEs will be invited to submit a proposal for the Project in response to the RFP.
Pre-Bid Conference:
Pre-bid RFQ Briefing: A Mandatory RFQ briefing conference is scheduled for 1:00 P.M., PDT, March 30, 2020, at the DGS Ziggurat Building, Executive Dining Room, located at 707 Third Street, First Floor, West Sacramento, CA 95605.
All RFQ submittals received from DBEs that do not attend the mandatory briefing will be returned without review. DBEs that attend the mandatory RFQ briefing conference may obtain an RFQ by going to the Event Details page at the California eProcure website.
