DGS Showcases Green Government at Sacramento Summit

DGS is showcasing its green vehicles, ‪green purchasing and bike share at this year’s Green California Summit and Exposition at the ‪Sacramento Convention Center. The event goes through tomorrow.

Director Daniel C. Kim highlights DGS’ green accomplishments during the keynote session.

 

“Under Governor Brown’s leadership, DGS has taken the lead in fighting climate change in state government operations. The department plays a major role in the greening of California, given our vast and varied reach,” said DGS Director Daniel C. Kim. “We at DGS have made sustainability one of our top five strategic goals, so nearly every division within DGS is directly implementing the governor’s green initiatives.”

Small business certification reps, green purchasing experts, CALGreen building code staff, and Division of the State Architect professionals are also taking part in the event.
