Public Auction Guide

There are two types of public auction services to dispose of state vehicles, mobile equipment and surplus personal property: online vehicle and equipment auctions and online surplus personal property auctions.

Online Public Auctions 

State of California surplus personal property is listed on GovDeals at http://www.govdeals.com/stateofcalifornia provides services to government agencies facilitating the sale of surplus items on the internet. If you are interested in one of the items, you will be required to register as an official bidder online, and agree to the Terms and Conditions posted on the web page.

Surplus Automotive Equipment Auctions

Online auctions are held monthly at Bid Fast and Last Auction located in Hesperia, CA and Bar None Auction located in Sacramento, CA. If you are in the market for a car, truck, SUV, van, alternative fuel vehicle, boat, trailer, golf cart or construction equipment, then look no further.

State agencies and transporters disposing of state vehicles, equipment, and surplus property must call ahead to coordinate deliveries with staff for any state work day except the day of the auctions. Prior to sending vehicles to auction, you must send the DGS approved Property Survey Report STD.152 and Title of the vehicle to the appropriate Fleet Auction Analyst.

 *Please note that Bar None does not accept deliveries, the week after an auction.

Deliveries to the SPR Warehouse | 1700 National Drive, Sacramento, CA 95834 | All deliveries to be made at the Surplus Property entrance at the back of the SPR Warehouse. To schedule delivery, call (916) 928-5851 and leave a voice mail message if necessary or email  FleetAuction@dgs.ca.gov .
