Commissioner Ida Clair featured in USC Trojan Family (Autumn 2021): University of Southern California (USC) Alumni, Commissioner Ida Clair, is recognized for her extensive architectural background stemming from her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at USC. Commissioner Clair is the first appointed female State Architect. Prior to Commissioner Clair’s appointment as State Architect, she held the position as the first Technical Administrator of the Certified Access Specialist Program (CASp). Commissioner Clair is recognized for her expertise on accessibility and sustainability within the Division of State Architecture that oversees design and construction in all public service buildings within the State of California.
