Sugar Pine Village is a new affordable residential community to be built in four (4) phases on land provided by the California Tahoe Conservancy that will have a total of 244 new affordable housing units, with four (4) on-site manager units when fully built out. Phase 2B is the fourth and last phase that is in predevelopment with the State for a ground lease with a 99-year term.
The project has been designed to provide residents with new high quality, sustainable housing that supports active transportation, encouraging biking, walking, access to transit, and connection with nearby trails for the local workforce and their families.
Project Milestones
The City of South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency have fully approved the project in record time. The project is being developed in four phases.
Phase 2B
60 Units - Construction is anticipated to start in 2027.
