The Department of General Services and the Employment Development Department have assembled several surplus properties for development of affordable housing The subject properties (the “Sites”) are located on the north side of Turk Street, and on the north side of Golden Gate Avenue, between Franklin Street and Gough Street in San Francisco, California. The Sites are on the border of the Downtown and Civic Center and Market and Octavia neighborhoods and at the north end of the Market and Octavia Area Plan. It has excellent access to city and regional public transit.

Project Milestones

Phase I: Expected construction commencement June 1, 2027. This phase includes the DMV Field Office and 126 affordable housing units at 30% to 80% AMI.

Phase II: Expected construction commencement September 1, 2030. This phase consists of 128 affordable housing units at 30% to 80% AMI.

Phase III: Expected construction commencement September 1, 2031. This phase consists of 118 affordable housing units at 30% to 80% AMI.
