Summary:
Provide professional architectural and engineering commissioning services for various State projects in the Northern, Southern and Coastal regions of California on an as-needed basis. These projects may involve new, addition, renovation or remodel projects.
Project commissioning is the process of assuring that all systems and components of a building or industrial plant are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to their intended operational requirements. Contractor will be called upon to provide services to aid the State in complying with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) criteria in Fundamental or Enhanced Commissioning. Services may also include Title 24 calculations and LEED Energy Modeling, Commissioning of systems beyond LEED requirements such as developing initial design parameters, providing field investigations, establishing the criteria required to prepare commissioning reports, review of photovoltaic systems and fuel cells, and Peer Review of architectural, mechanical and electrical systems. Work performed shall comply with all applicable State codes and regulations.
Related services may include but not be limited to providing hazardous materials assessments, surveys, reports, abatement design plans/specifications, cost estimates and air monitoring associated with the above work.
The responsible party shall be an architect or engineer licensed to practice in the State of California (CA) and all work shall be performed under and approved by a licensed design professional. Consultants work may require the participation of other engineering related disciplines such as, but not limited to, civil, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural.
The estimated retainer contract value is $ 5,000,000.00. The estimated duration of this contract will be 5 years.
