Summary:
The Real Estate Services Division (RESD), Project Management and Development Branch (PMDB), is requesting submittals from Structural Engineering firms to provide professional structural engineering consultant services for new, addition, repair, modification, or replacement type projects within Northern, Southern and Coastal California. Contractor shall be competent in the design and analysis of building structures and components containing concrete, steel, masonry and wood materials. Work performed shall comply with all applicable State codes and regulations, in particular as they relate to seismic conditions.
Services shall include, but not be limited to, develop initial design parameters, provide field investigations, establish the criteria required to prepare the structural design, review geotechnical reports for structural concerns and for recommended foundation systems, integrate the selected structural system with work performed by other consultants, attend meetings, provide recommendations for special studies (wind tunnel, etc.) perform seismic analysis, review and provide analysis of existing structural systems, provide load calculations, provide structural engineering reports including estimated construction/repair costs, prepare plans and specifications, review shop drawings, provide inspection or observation of the work, provide construction administration and prepare as-built drawings.
Related services may include but not be limited to providing hazardous material assessments, surveys, reports, abatement design plans/specifications, cost estimates and air monitoring associated with the above work. Consultants work may also require the participation of other engineering related disciplines such as architecture, civil, electrical, and mechanical.
All work shall be performed under and approved by a design professional, or contractor, licensed in the State of California.
The estimated retainer contract value is $5,000,000.00. The estimated duration of this contract will be five (5) years.
