Summary:
Project comprises labor, material and services necessary for: Full depth recycling and striping of existing a/c paving for Sequoia Drive, Central Plant/Plant Operations, driveways and parking lots for Residential Buildings 1, 5 and Administration Building Wing W1 and W1A, and the Shipping/Shipping South Shipping Warehouse approaches. Demolition of existing concrete and a/c paving as required for the construction of 29 ADA accessible curb ramps. Accessible upgrades include curb ramps along pavement rehabilitation work, associated striping and signage.
Pre-Bid Conference:
Prospective bidders must attend the mandatory pre bid site inspection tour on October 21, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., at Plant Operations Offices, 320 Palm Way, Porterville CA 93257. The States requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation will be presented along with other contract requirements. Bidders are required to be in attendance for the entirety of the pre-bid site inspection and sign out at the conclusion. All Bidders planning on attending shall email the names of all proposed attendees to Wayne Hawkins, Project Director, no later than 5:00 PM, October 16, 2020, c/o wayne.hawkins@dgs.ca.gov. All attendees must go through the Health Screening site, located at the North Admin Parking lot. A Site Map indicating location of Plant Operation's Office and Health Screening site will be provided upon receipt of names. Attendees shall arrive early enough in order to get scanned and still make it to the Plant Operation's Offices by or before 9:00 AM.
Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
