Summary:
SEALED BIDS: The Office of Business and Acquisition Services will receive Sealed Bids at 707 Third Street, West Sacramento, California 95605 before 2:00 P.M., October 12, 2021. Hand delivered bids shall be placed in the DGS/OBAS Bid/Proposal Drop Box located in the lobby.
Project comprises labor, material and services necessary for: Major components of Project Work scope includes but may not be limited to the following: Kitchen Site: Demolition of existing paving, sidewalks, curbs, utility laterals, etc. Grading, earthwork & trenching for utilities, temporary fence construction & removal. Concrete, A.C. paving & base. Water, sewer, gas, power & communication service to building. Emergency electrical generator for new building. Construct about 4,800 square foot new kitchen & dining pre-engineered metal building with CMU wainscot walls & concrete floor slab & foundations including equipment, finishes, furniture, etc. Trash enclosure & pump house. Fire alarm, fire sprinkler & public address systems. Fire Tank Site: Construct 180,000 gallon on grade welded steel fire tank with level controls & appurtenances including clear & grub site, grading & earthwork. Provide water piping, electrical & communication service between the kitchen site & tank site. Provide gravel access road & chain link fence, gates & related work.
Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
Pre-Bid Conference:
Prospective bidders must attend the mandatory pre bid site inspection tour on September 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at 30500 Plum Creek Road, Paynes Creek, CA 96075. The States requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and other Contract requirements will be presented. Prime Contractors are encouraged to have their Key Administrator and DVBE office coordinator attend to receive this information and to have their questions answered. Attendance for the entire inspection is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid.
Security Clearance: Bidders' attention is directed to the deadline to contact Sgt. C Hoagland / Lt. M. Gregor, at (530) 597-2846 no later than 1:00 P.M, SEPTEMBER 9, 2021; and provide (1) full name, (2) telephone number, (3) Social Security Number, (4) Identification Number or California Drivers License Number and expiration year, and (5) date of birth; for security clearance to enter institution. Blue, black, or acid washed denim trousers, camouflage clothing, red or orange jumpsuits, and blue or black chambray shirts, cameras and recording devices will not be allowed.
