Summary:

Scope of Work: This project consists the removal of identified barriers to accessibility at (4) multi-story buildings and (1) multi-story parking structure at the East End in downtown Sacramento. The facilities are multi-tenant and the work is to be phased to allow building occupants to continue business activities, see Supplementary Conditions 00 73 00 for phasing restrictions and requirements. Major components of work include access barrier removal in the path of travel for common areas, upgrades at restrooms, signage corrections, corrections to elevators and elevator lobbies, exterior site work and parking accessibility corrections.

Pre-Bid Conference:

Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on October 14, 2020, at 9:30 A.M., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at 1616 Capitol Avenue, Security Desk, Sacramento, CA. The States requirements for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation and other Contract requirements will be presented. Prime Contractors are encouraged to have their Key Administrator and DVBE office coordinator attend to receive this information and to have their questions answered. Attendance for the entire inspection is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid.

Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
