Summary:
This project is being bid in accordance with Government Code 14838.7 and is open only to Small Business and Micro Business contractors certified through the California Department of General Services, Office of Small Business and DVBE Services.
This is a re-advertisement of a Project for which bids were opened on March 3, 2021 and no contract was awarded. No revisions were made to scope of original work and Drawings and Project Manual, including Addenda, remain same as originally issued with exception of new bid opening date. New Bid Forms will be issued to qualified bidders.
Project comprises labor, material and services necessary for: Replace existing electric water heater with an electric heat pump water heater. Install hot water circulation system and thermostatic mixing valves at sinks.
Pre-Bid Conference:
Pre-bid Site Inspection: Bids will only be accepted from those Contractors having attended the MANDATORY pre-bid site inspection tour on April 15, 2021, at 11:00 A.M., at which time representatives of the State and prospective bidders shall meet at California School for the Deaf, the Administration Building Entrance, located at 39350 Gallaudet Drive, Fremont, CA. Attendance for the entire inspection is required in order for bidders to be eligible to submit a bid. Contractors who attended the February 17, 2021 pre-bid site inspection are not required to attend.
Successful bidder shall furnish payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
