eMarketplace

The eMarketplace is a modern statewide procurement platform designed to provide easy access to statewide IT, Non-IT goods, and IT services contracts and their associated line-items. eMarketplace enhances the DGS-PD’s statewide Leveraged Procurement Agreements (LPAs) shopping experience with efficient search functionality and seamless integration into the current FI$Cal statewide procurement system. eMarketplace is not replacing CaleProcure; instead, it is designed to be an enhancement and allow users to search by contract line-items.
The eMarketplace project functionality will be implemented in 2 phases and is indicated below.
Additional Information
-
Public Search Functionality
Launching, November 2025, eMarketplace search functionality allows the public to search for goods and services on LPAs to the line item level, by location, keyword, UNSPSC, or contract ID, expanding ease and accessibility beyond the existing CaleProcure price worksheets. While all current CaleProcure functionality remains in full effect, this option provides an additional tool that simplifies the search for contracted goods and services.

FI$Cal Integration
In 2026, DGS PD will launch a complete eMarketplace integration with FI$Cal. In the same way that state departments shop at CalPIA, state users will now access the eMarketplace directly through the FI$Cal requisition functionality. Users will select items from the same LPA contract to fill their cart and upon returning to FI$Cal, a requisition will be automatically created. A purchase order (PO) can then be automatically created using the "copy from" functionality. eMarketplace will provide expanded accessibility and simplicity for quick quoting and purchasing when utilizing LPAs.
