Smart Sourcing, Session 2: Get Certified and Business Connections

Attend part two of this workshop series to get Small Business (SB) or DVBE certified. Receive step-by-step instructions for the certification application. Get help uploading documents and completing the application process.

Meet with buyers after the certification workshop. Network with attendees and experienced business owners.

 

Have digital copies of the necessary items listed below for certification. 

• General documents:
  • EIN verification letter (if applicable)
  • Federal tax returns for the last three years (or for the period your business has been operational)
    • For a sole proprietorship, personal tax returns for up to three years.
  • DE 9C records for the last four quarters (if you have W2 employees).
  • Applicable licenses (e.g., Business License, CSLB License, Resellers Permit)
  • Award of Entitlement, eBenefits Service/Benefit Verification, or Retired/Retainer letter (DVBE only)
• Legal entity documents:
  • Small Business Document Requirements
  • DVBE Document Requirements
