The Small Business Advisory Council (SBAC) gives feedback on state policies and practices. They focus on state contracting processes that affect small businesses. SBAC members are part of California’s small business community. The Department of General Services (DGS) hosts the SBAC.

The SBAC:

  • Helps DGS solve concerns about state contracting processes
  • Shares information about DGS projects and programs with the small business community

The SBAC meets in March, June, September, and December. Meetings are open to the public. Anyone can comment during the public comment period at the end of the meeting.

Meetings are subject to the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act (Government Code Sections 11120-11132).
