Reutilize State-Owned Surplus Personal Property for Agencies
Still useable state-owned surplus personal property is a significant asset. Accordingly, all state agencies are required to extend the useful life of surplus property in their possession following specific guidelines provided by the SPR program, which is responsible for reviewing and approving all state agency dispositions of state-owned surplus personal property prior to disposition.
Pursuant to the State Contracting Manual (SCM), Volume 2, Chapter 2 Procurement Planning, Topic 2 Surplus Property Program, state agencies shall utilize surplus furnishings whenever feasible and shall contact the SPR program to determine if surplus personal property is available.
SPR Warehouse: all deliveries to be made at the Surplus Property entrance at the back of the SPR Warehouse. To schedule delivery, please call (916) 928-5851 and leave a voice mail if necessary.
The SPR Warehouse is not open for public sales.
