DSA PSCC Member, Jennifer Mahato
As a member of the PSCC, Jennifer serves as a School District Facility Development Representative.
Jennifer Mahato is the Executive Director of Facilities and Maintenance with West Valley-Mission Community College District. She brings over a decade of diverse experience in California Community Colleges construction and maintenance, along with a varied architectural background with an additional decade working with California Architectural firms specializing in K-14 school projects.
Jennifer oversees a staff of nearly 50 individuals in custodial, grounds, maintenance, and operations, where a significant aspect of her current role involves continuous preventative maintenance planning and scheduling to ensure safe and welcoming working and learning environments for students, staff, and faculty. In addition, she supports capital improvement programs, ADA Transition Plan implementation, and emergency response efforts.
Ms. Mahato is also a contributor and supporter of the Northern California Facilities group, actively participating in quarterly meetings. Jennifer regularly collaborates with her colleagues in other community college districts, sharing valuable information and strategies that have proven successful in her own experiences.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in the History of Art (with a focus on architectural history), Michigan State University with Master level studies in Architecture at Lawrence Technological University and Historic Preservation at Eastern Michigan University.
