SACRAMENTO – The California Department of General Services (DGS) is holding its first Surplus Property Auction of 2018. From cameras and accessories, power tools, and bicycles – there’s something for everyone.

The DGS Office of Fleet and Asset Management will conduct the auction on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the surplus warehouse at 1700 National Dr. in Sacramento. The media can preview items on Friday, Feb. 9.

Items are those that come from state agencies, property seized by the California Highway Patrol and those surrendered to the National Transportation Security Administration.

The auction brings in hundreds of thousands of dollars back to the state every year.

Auction and auction preview details include:

  • News media can preview items by request on Friday, Feb. 9. The public will also preview items.
  • Auction Day, Saturday, Feb. 10. Pre-auction preview 8-9:45 a.m.  Auction begins promptly at 10 a.m.
