DSA PSCC Member, Ara Buqour De La Sol
As a member of PSCC, Ara serves as a School District Facility Development Representative.
Ara Buqour De La Sol has over 26 years of experience in education,
serving both Irvine USD and Newport Mesa USD for the fiscal and facilities department.
In her current role at Newport Mesa, she serves as the Admin. Director II, Facilities
Development, Planning and Design. Her responsibilities range from management of leased
facilities, capital and bond improvement programs. She has managed all aspects of projects
since 2004 including 4 performing arts centers, 4 newly constructed pools, 4 high school
stadiums, 2 middle school enclaves and the rebuild of the 1930’s Newport Harbor High
School Robins Loats Building. She has managed projects totaling nearly $500 million dollars.
Most recently over the 2025 summer, successfully completed projects across the district at
31 school sites, $90 million dollars over 45 business days. She is eager to continue her work
for Newport Mesa and is looking forward to upcoming projects that will improve every
elementary, middle and high school campus in Newport Mesa.
