DSA ACC Member, Jorge Rivas
The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is pleased to announce this charter member of the Access Code Collaborative (ACC). The following individual was selected for a specific constituency category, to ensure all stakeholder perspectives are considered in the collaboration efforts of the ACC. While each member has been selected for a specific constituency category, many members identify with more than one constituency group, which contributes to enhanced collaboration among the group.

Jorge Rivas, selected to represent individuals with disabilities, is a visually impaired person who enjoys traveling the world and constantly looks for ways to improve accessibility. Jorge served on the San Diego Metropolitan Accessibility Committee in San Diego for over six years and has been advocating for people with disabilities in the San Diego region for over 10 years.
He also served on the board for the Blind Community Center, as well as the San Diego Association of Government Accessible Committee. He assisted the architects of the San Diego Association of Government in creating accessible public transportation stations throughout the county of San Diego. He is an entrepreneur and understands the ADA guidelines for a business owner.
