Project Inspector Certification Examination Schedule for 2022

The 2022 schedule for the Project Inspector Certification Examination has been announced.

The new schedule for the Project Inspector Certification Examination is provided below. These examinations will be based on the 2019 California Building Standards Code.

2022 Project Inspector Certification Examination Dates and Locations

• April 13 & 14—DSA Sacramento Reginal Office
• June 22 & 23—DSA San Diego Regional Office 
• Sept. 14 & 15—DSA Los Angeles Regional Office 
• Dec. 7 & 8—DSA Sacramento Regional Office

In 2022, further modifications will be made to the examination which may include (but are not limited to) fee changes. Examination dates, sessions and locations are subject to change. Should any changes occur, they will be posted to the webpage linked below, and all approved applicants will be notified.

Additional information is located on the Apply and Maintain Project Inspector Certification webpage. Please note that there are currently delays in processing new applications to take the examination due to staff shortages. The Project Inspector Program Team is working to review and approve qualified applicants as quickly as possible.
