45-Day Public Comment Period Structural Safety Code Changes

The Division of the State Architect (DSA) has submitted proposed code changes for the 2025 Intervening Code Cycle to the California Building Standards Commission (CBSC) for their 45‑day public comment period. Written comments will be accepted by the CBSC until midnight on the final day of the 45‑day public comment period listed below:

 

  • GREEN/PEME: March 27 – May 11, 2026 (comments accepted until midnight)

The public will also have an opportunity to provide written and/or oral comments regarding the proposed building standards at a public meeting conducted by the CBSC near the end of the current adoption cycle. A meeting notice will be issued announcing the date, time, and location of the public meeting.
