Car Tire

The state strives to procure tires that reduce air emissions and promote resource conservation. Tires that have low rolling resistance may help reduce fuel consumption and tires that participate in take-back programs divert landfill waste. Green your tires for vehicles such as law enforcement, passenger cars, buses, trailers, construction, agriculture, fire engines, crew transports, and light/medium/large duty trucks.

These contracts are considered “green” because they offer tires with low rolling resistance. The offered tires are of standard original equipment manufacturer (OEM) quality or better and are of minimum OEM recommended tread wear rating for each group category. The three category groups are Pursuit Tires, Passenger and Light Truck Tires, and Medium and Heavy Duty Truck, Bus, Transport and Construction/Agriculture Tires. Each territory number has a contract awarded for each group. For more information on groups and territories see the Contract Master List and Territory Map.
