New Principal Structural Engineer DSA Headquarters
The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is pleased to introduce Diane Gould as the new Principal Structural Engineer over the Structural Codes & Standards Team in Headquarters. The Structural Codes & Standards Team is a varied team that oversees DSA’s project inspector, special inspector, and laboratories certification programs; as well as structural code development and the authoring of supporting publications.
Mrs. Gould has been with DSA for five years supervising and developing regulatory changes; establishing consistent and enforceable policies, procedures, and interpretations; and preparing and performing code and policy training to staff and clients. We look forward to seeing her continue to apply her collaborative style, diligence, attention to detail, and measured leadership in her new role.
Upon joining us at DSA, Diane brought almost 20 years’ experience in structural engineering analysis and design and project management for a variety of project types. She’s gained this experience through her work for both the public and private sectors; her prior positions include Senior Structural Engineer with the Department of General Services’ Real Estate Services Division, Project Management and Development Branch, as well as Senior Associate with Buehler Engineering, which is where she began her engineering career upon graduation from UC Davis.
