DSA Client Services, Return to Virtual Meetings
Governor Gavin Newsom has issued a directive that requires all state employees provide proof of vaccination or submit to regular COVID-19 testing to ensure a safe work environment. To further advance a safe work environment, the Division of the State Architect (DSA) will cease to offer in-person meetings to clients until further notice. All plan review meetings, including back check and over-the-counter reviews, will once again be held virtually (over the internet).
Although we just began offering in-person meetings earlier this month, the health and safety of our colleagues and clients are our top priority. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. If you had an in-person meeting scheduled, please await further instruction from a DSA staff member.
Back Check & Over the Counter (OTC) Reviews
Back check and OTC reviews will continue to be on electronic files and occur remotely (virtual).
The virtual back check process will require design professionals do the following:
• Schedule your appointment for Electronic Back Check with the lead plan reviewer.
• Prior to the meeting, the lead plan reviewer will send you instructions via email as to how to connect via Microsoft Teams and Bluebeam. To prepare in advance for your remote back check, you can Download Microsoft Teams software for free for both Macs and PCs.
Clients will need to have access to a computer with speakers and microphone or telephone. A camera is not necessary.
If you have any questions, please contact your respective DSA office, listed on the Contact Us webpage.
