All comments for the state agency proposals must be submitted to the commission no later than midnight on the last day of the public comment period. Due to the volume of comments received, CBSC cannot guarantee that all comments are posted on this website.  While every attempt is made to include all submissions online, it is not required by statute or regulation. Note: only comments received in an accessible format will be viewable via CBSC's website. Contact CBSC for a copy of non-viewable comments. Use the e-Comment form to ensure accessibility.

2015 Public Comment periods

The California Building Standards Commission Code Advisory Committees review and make recommendations to state agencies regarding their proposed changes to California's building codes. The following designated periods provided opportunity for public review and comments concerning proposed changes to the California Building Standards Code, Title 24, which was published in July 2016 with an effective date of January 1, 2017.  Initial 45-Day comment periods are followed by second 45-Day or 15-Day comment periods if changes are made based on comments received.
