2014 Green Technology Summit

DGS sustainability manager Dan Burgoyne (L) talked about how the state is conserving water at government facilities during a panel discussion today at the Green Technology summit in Sacramento.

Sustainability experts from the DGS Real Estate Services Division shared how the state is moving toward greener, Zero Net Energy buildings. There was also a workshop focused on how DGS’ Procurement Division is helping state agencies buy greener products and develop green contracts.  The Building Standards Commission was on hand with information on CALGreen building code updates. Deputy State Architect Bob Chase provided an update on implementation of Proposition 39 for school district’s planning to increase energy efficiency and other sustainability measures on their campuses.
