California Green Lodging Program

After 20 years, the Statewide Travel Program (STP) has decided to sunset the California Green Lodging Program (GLP). Properties currently certified will remain on the program until their current certification expires. STP encourages all GLP certified hotels, as well as properties that interested in a green certification program, to reach out to other programs such as Green Key, U.S. Green Building Council LEED, Tripadvisor Green Leaders, Green Globe, Travelife Accommodation Sustainability, and EarthCheck. STP encourages properties to participate in and promote corporate sustainability initiatives and do more to promote them.
