DSA ACC Member, Susan R. Moe

The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is pleased to announce this charter member of the Access Code Collaborative (ACC). The following individual was selected for a specific constituency category, to ensure all stakeholder perspectives are considered in the collaboration efforts of the ACC. While each member has been selected for a specific constituency category, many members identify with more than one constituency group, which contributes to enhanced collaboration among the group.

Susan R. Moe, selected to represent Certified Access Specialists, is an architect and CASp with over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors.  In July 2021, Susan retired from the Division of the State Architects Headquarters office to establish Access Compliance Consulting.

In addition to code consulting services, she provides access compliance training and is an AIA continuing education provider. While at DSA, she developed regulations for the California Building Code, Chapters 2 and 11B, delivered access compliance training, and served as a CASp exam subject matter expert. As a CASp subject matter expert, she designed the first CASp open book exams. In addition, Susan participated on the team for the 2013 California Building Code rulemaking cycle when the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design became the model code for Chapter 11B.
