DSA ACC Member, Larry Grable

The Division of the State Architect (DSA) is pleased to announce this charter member of the Access Code Collaborative (ACC). The following individual was selected for a specific constituency category, to ensure all stakeholder perspectives are considered in the collaboration efforts of the ACC. While each member has been selected for a specific constituency category, many members identify with more than one constituency group, which contributes to enhanced collaboration among the group.

Larry Grable, was selected to represent disability advocates. For the past 10 years Larry has been the Executive Director of Service Center for Independent Life, (SCIL), one of the 28 Independent Living Centers in California.  He was the Chair of the Board of Directors for 2 years prior to that. Before working for SCIL he worked for the Office of the Governor for 8 years as the Director of the Inland Empire Field Office.  Prior to that he worked for Senator Jim Brulte as a Field Representative.  Larry is also the Past Chair of the California Foundation for Independent Living Centers.   Larry also chair’s the State Assistive Technology Advisory Board.  Larry also sits on the board of Aging Next and the States Aging and Disability Resource Connection Advisory Board. Larry has been married for 30 years and has 3 children and 3 grandkids.
