The project type for the open-book portion of the October 19, 2022 Certified Access Specialist Program (CASp) examination is Historic Facility. The examination will cover new and amended regulations included in the 2019 Intervening Code Supplement. A list of reference materials is linked below.

October Open and Closed-Book CASp Examinations

This examination takes place on October 19, 2022. Registration closes one month prior, on September 27, 2022, or when the examination reaches maximum capacity. Register early—space is limited! Check in time is based upon COVID-19 preventative measures, if applicable. If not, the check in begins at the time noted below. This will be confirmed via email after close of registration.

  • Open-Book Examination – $250
    • Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
    • Two-hour examination.
    • Project Type: Alteration to a qualified historic County Administrative Building 
    • List of Reference Materials
  • Closed-Book Examination – $250
    • Check-in begins at 1:30 p.m.
    • 90-minute examination.

This examination will take place simultaneously in the following locations. Registration is location specific.

  • Hawthorne Memorial Ctr, 3901 W. El Segundo Blvd, Hawthorne, CA 90250
  • Four Points by Sheraton, 4900 Duckhorn Drive, Sacramento, CA 95834

DSA is monitoring the current COVID-19 health crisis for possible cancellation of the October examinations.  Should there be a cancellation by DSA, exam registrants will have the option for a refund of fees related to this exam or for credit of fees to be applied toward a future exam administration. Examination dates and locations are subject to change. All registered candidates will be notified should changes take place.
