Position Summary: Acts as the subject matter expert in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange administration for DGS, leading the implementation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and administration of the Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange systems.
- Provides expertise in Microsoft Active Directory by implementing, configuring, and maintaining the active directory environment, solutions and procedures, and advising ETS management, architects and vendors on the most sensitive issues, in order to maintain and secure DGS system objects (servers, computers, user accounts, distribution lists) to ensure a safe and protected computer and server environment.
- Provides expertise in the Microsoft Exchange messaging system by implementing, configuring, and maintaining the messaging environments, solutions and procedures, and advising ETS management, architects and vendors on the most sensitive issues, in order to maintain and secure DGS messaging resources (user mailboxes, shared mailboxes and related messaging components) to ensure a safe and protected messaging environment.
- Provides expertise on the management of cloud security in the Microsoft 0365 environment by implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Microsoft 0365 environment, solutions and procedures, and advising ETS management, architects and vendors on the most sensitive issues, in order to maintain and secure DGS system objects (user objects and identity, external threats) to ensure a safe and protected computer and server environment.
- Provides expertise in the management of Domain Name Server (DNS) using Microsoft and lnfoblox systems both on premises and in the cloud by implementing, configuring, and maintaining the DNS structure, advising/recommending to ETS management, architects and vendors on solutions to improve security and stability.
- Develops and implements product and process improvements to the above systems by creating process documentation regarding technology infrastructure department wide, reviewing, researching, and evaluating technology products and services for procurement of future enhancements, and providing sound recommendations to ETS management and staff in order to support current planning of the overall organizational IT Strategy to ensure DGS' event logging and vulnerability infrastructure is continuously enhanced.
- Collaborates with the ISO, Enterprise Architects and DGS executives and staff by coordinating and preparing appropriate reporting, dashboards and related information in order to properly communicate compliance/security standards and to ensure DGS computing assets are in compliance with established or future compliance/security standards for the department and it's customers.
- Leads independent research and studies and attend job-related educational workshops and trainings in order to maintain professional and technical knowledge of new technologies and to ensure the continuing development of solutions that are maintainable, extensible, optimized, and secure.

Position Summary: Serves as the principal architect and technical lead, responsible for overseeing the design process for integrating applications in our existing systems with the Cloud in support of the department's application migration to the Cloud. This position involves access to confidential investigation materials, access to confidential and mission critical IT assets, and participation in security incident handling from identification/investigation to containment and eradication, then recovery and documenting lessons learned.
- Provides expert knowledge and technical leadership using Application Program Interface (API) in the design of system application architecture utilizing agile methodology, and DevOps, in order to analyze business requirements, and plan cloud migration time lines by collaborating with other system administrators, software developers, architects, testers, analyst, and ETS executive management to ensure the stability and data integrity of the system meets DGS and its stakeholders' business operational requirements.
- Oversees and facilitates project planning, design, and development sessions; monitors, identifies, analyzes, reports and recommends complex software solutions regarding design, cost, infrastructure upgrades, and enhancements by applying approved project management methodologies in order to deliver robust business solutions and ensure installations, and upgrades are properly designed, installed, implemented and maintained in compliance with state standards and regulations to ensure ETS' strategic objectives are met.
- Creates, enhances, and reviews software codes, and develops and maintains IT software solutions by constructing and augmenting various programming languages including Team Foundation Server (TFS), Visual Studio, MS SQL, Containerization, MicroServices Architecture, Azure Kubernetes Services, and Azure DevOps in order to meet department requirements and expectations, with regards to efficiency and effectiveness, and to ensure a secure reliable technology environment, adhering to DGS standards and policies.
- Implements and supports complex enhancement requests, and incident resolution by resolving application defects, technical challenges, and impediments in alignment with infrastructure direction in order to identify areas of concern utilizing Solution Architect framework tools like conceptual Solution Architectural Model, Logical Data Model, Logical Technology Model etc, to ensure accessibility and connectivity on multiple platforms is stabilized enterprise wide.
- Attends educational workshops, networking with other IT personnel and vendors by participating in information technology organization forums, in order to maintain knowledge of industry trends and practices, and enhance technical knowledge of subordinate staff through training, and to ensure the sustainability of ETS and the CAS section.

Position Summary: Functions as a team member and independently performs a variety of IT services within the Cloud Infrastructure Services Section, including the design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and administration of the cloud and virtual environments for the Department of General Services (DGS).
- Provides lead technical expertise in the complex cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Oracle and VMware Cloud in order to independently plan, design, build, develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and monitor Cloud technologies by collaborating with developers, enterprise architects, operations, security, and executive management to ensure the stability, and data integrity of the systems meet DGS and its stakeholders' business operational requirements.
- Leads, plans, installs, configures, monitors and troubleshoots complex multiple enterprise cloud environments by utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud services (such as virtual computers, storage areas, databases, and network services), interfaces, tools, and best-practice standards in order to maintain secure, efficient, and optimized enterprise cloud environments ensuring that all cloud environments meet and maintain an automation framework centered around rapid, scalable, cost efficient, and predictable infrastructure provisioning.
- Protect Cloud environments by designing, planning, implementing, testing and managing backups, disaster recovery and ransomware protection solutions in order to recover Cloud data and systems across AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud ensuring the availability and recovery of applications and systems within recovery time objectives.
- Independently evaluates vendor technologies and provides recommendations that would best fit business and operational needs by developing and presenting analysis and issue papers in order to support the decisions of managers and policy makers, updates documentation for all applications and processes supported updates Manager of ongoing projects and tasks to ensure DGS' business objectives are met while in compliance with DGS' IT policies and standards.

Position Summary: Serves as the project leader for IT projects, and is responsible for the oversight of all phases and aspects of project management, and system development life cycles (SDLC) to ensure efficient, and effective delivery of project objectives.
- Organizes and manages IT project work throughout various phases by applying industry standards, principles, methods, and techniques in order to manage all Project Approval Lifecycle deliverables and ensure successful delivery of project objectives in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures, utilizing the California Department of Technology's (CDT) Project Management Framework project deliverables and outputs such as Project Management Plans, subordinate plans, schedules, and reports.
- Performs risk assessment and scope management by applying project management principles and methods to track project progress against baselines, identifying, communicating, and mitigating problems in order to monitor and control project deliverables, utilizing OnePlan or project management tools to ensure adherence to the predefined project schedule and budget, and determine corrective actions needed to address deviations that may impact the schedule, cost, scope, or quality of the project.
- Plans and develops new customer initiatives for DGS' various lines of business by identifying the customer's business problem or opportunity, and collaborating with senior management in order to prioritize and define project scope, develop budgets, and schedule estimates to ensure timely completion of projects which adhere to organizational objectives, utilizing Customer Request Forms, Stage 1 Business Analyses, and Project Charters.
- Manages, oversees, and completes project related procurements by developing Statements of Work, coordinating with the appropriate procurement teams, and leveraging optimum procurement strategies in order to acquire project resources, and to ensure DGS and their customers receive the maximum benefit utilizing ServiceNow in accordance with the Procurement Division's established guidelines.
- Develops and implements new or revised processes, policies, and procedures by communicating impending changes to the team, in order to make process enhancements, and ensure continuous improvement of ETS' project management practices, utilizing Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.

Position Summary: Acts as the team leader and subject matter expert on the enterprise firewalls and network infrastructure for DGS, leading the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and administration of the enterprise Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls and network infrastructure.
- Designs, implements, configures, and maintains network and firewall infrastructure across Enterprise and Cloud platforms by designing and implementing switching, routing, and firewall solutions and procedures, and advising ETS management, architects and vendors on the most sensitive issues, in order to support and secure the enterprise network environment and to ensure effective performance and securing of enterprise wide applications, utilizing Palo Alto Networks.
- Collaborates with the Enterprise Network Architect in designing innovative network solutions by analyzing and maintaining the network environments, and enterprise firewalls, coordinates infrastructure systems specifications, performing upgrades and maintenance, and resolving the most complex technical issues for the Palo Alto Networks infrastructure, utilizing collected data, patching firmware and version upgrades in order to sustain a supportable and uniform network infrastructure for DGS department wide.
- Develops and implements product and process improvements to the technology and physical network by creating process documentation regarding technology infrastructure department wide, reviewing, researching, and evaluating technology products and services for procurement of future enhancements, and providing sound recommendations to ETS management, architects, and staff in order to ensure DGS' infrastructures are continuously enhanced and current for planning of the overall organizational IT Strategy.
- Resolves network and firewall issues enterprise wide by providing expert technical support to the DGS Help Desk team, satellite offices and mobile workforce, participating and assisting in the implementation, installation, upgrading, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting of the physical network infrastructure, and reviewing and monitoring the technical environment to ensure continuous uninterrupted and secure operation of products, and to ensure the performance of the network systems for DGS department wide.
- Leads independent research and studies and attend job-related educational workshops and trainings in order to maintain professional and technical knowledge of new technologies and to ensure the continuing development of solutions that are maintainable, extensible, optimized, and secure.
