The Public Works Contract Arbitration (PWCA) Committee evaluates arbitrator applicants on an individual basis.  Arbitrator standards and qualifications may be found in California Code of Regulations, title 1, section 1395.  Arbitrators approved by the Committee are certified to the panel.  Parties to an arbitration are provided with a list of certified arbitrators, and selection of arbitrator is governed by regulation.     

Prospective applicants may request an arbitrator application by email or U.S. Mail at the addresses below. The application should state any specific training and experience qualifying applicant to arbitrate PWCA contract disputes.  A current resume shall be submitted with the application.  In addition to being provided to the PWCA Committee, arbitrator applications are posted on the PWCA website.

Applications and resumes received at least 45 days before the next scheduled PWCA Committee meeting will be reviewed for certification at that meeting.  Otherwise, they will be reviewed at the following meeting.
