How to Book Travel at CALtravelstore, One-Stop Travel Shop

The Department of General Services (DGS) is pleased to offer a one-stop travel shop at www.caltravelstore.com for routine government-business travel arrangements via a contract with the TravelStore.  Government travelers can make reservations for airline tickets, cars, rail, shuttle and guest room accommodation via Concur (formerly Cliqbook), the online booking tool.

Currently, travelers continue to use SWABIZ, the Southwest travel portal for reservations.  However, SWABIZ can now be incorporated into Concur as an optional feature.  For specific details, contact the designated DGS Statewide Travel Program Specialist (PDF).  

How Do You Enroll?

Begin by contacting your department travel coordinator.  If you do not know who your travel coordinator is, contact your accounting office.  For more information, contact the designated DGS Statewide Travel Program Specialist (PDF).

Advantages

This one-stop shop solution allows travelers to use the most economical rates available via contracted travel-related services.  In addition, DGS captures the entire state volume for benchmark reporting, transparency, efficiency, and to leverage the travel industry for consolidated reduced rates and fares for government travelers.  In addition, should a disaster or catastrophe occur, the state will be able to identify the location of all of their travelers. 

Payment

You must use your department's centralized American Express Business Travel Account (BTA) payment system to pay for all of your travel-related expenses.
