Green Resources for Travelers

There are a variety of state efforts currently underway that are aimed at "greening" California government -- the Green Lodging Program is one of them. The Green Lodging Program was developed, in part, to assist state employees to make environmentally friendly lodging choices while traveling on state business.

Every time you "travel green," you help to reduce pollution and waste, promote greater energy efficiency, and support those facilities that are working to create a healthier and more productive environment for all Californians.  So the next time you need to travel on state business, please consider staying at one of the fine hotels in the Green Lodging Directory.

After your stay, please help us evaluate how the program is working by emailing us at greenlodgingprogram@dgs.ca.gov. We want your feedback.

For additional traveler forms and resources, go to Traveler Guide and Resources.

Thank you for supporting the Department of General Services' (DGS) Green Lodging Program and for your commitment to reducing waste, and saving energy, water, and California's other valuable resources through environmentally friendly practices in the hospitality industry.
