The Architecture, Structural and Civil Engineering Section provides in-house planning architecture, engineering and interior design resources and services for the Department of General Services, state agencies and departments and other governmental clients. The Section is organized into 5 units, each with specialized experience and capabilities in their respective fields.
Architectural Unit A (AUA)
Tom Wells, Supervising Architect
Architectural design, planning and project management services for Capital Outlay (Major and Minor), Special Repair and Operations and Maintenance Projects for the Department of General Services and other state agencies and departments.
Architectural Unit B (AUB)
Curt Moore, Supervising Architect
Architectural design, 3D modeling, planning, construction administration and project management services for Capital Outlay (Major and Minor), Special Repair and Operations and Maintenance Projects for the Department of General Services and other state agencies and departments.
Architectural Unit C (AUC)
Chandra Wells, Supervising Architect
Space planning, interior design, modular furniture, and tenant improvement design solutions for tenants in DGS owned and operated State buildings.
Civil Engineering Unit (CEU)
James DiGiorgio, Supervising Civil Engineer
Civil engineering design services and construction support services. Conducts infrastructure studies, site investigations, property surveys, and topographical surveys. Provides surveys for grading, drainage, paving, ground improvements, athletic facilities, water supply treatment and distribution systems, sanitary sewer treatment and disposal systems, roads and trails, analyzes construction problems, environmental studies and remediation land fill closures.
Structural Engineering Unit (SEU)
Diane Gould, Senior Structural Engineer
Structural engineering design and construction support services for buildings and appurtenant structures. Prepares structural construction documents, structural calculations and analyses, conducts structural evaluations of existing state buildings and writes reports thereon; checks shop drawings and material submissions for compliance.
