California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS)

The California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS) offers a wide variety of commodities, non-IT services and information technology products and services at prices which have been assessed to be fair, reasonable and competitive. Suppliers may apply for a CMAS contract at anytime - no bids are required.

The use of these contracts is optional and is available to state and local government agencies.

What's New
May 10, 2012 – Review & Approval of Non-IT Services CMAS Orders

CMAS Purchase Orders for Non-IT Services over $50,000 issued by State agencies require review and approval by the CMAS Unit prior to release to the awarded contractor.  These orders using FY 2011/2012 funding must be received in the CMAS Unit by close of business June 15, 2012 to allow for processing time by June 30, 2012.

March 5, 2012 – CMAS Contract Management Guide Revised

The “CMAS Contract Management & Information Guide” dated October 2010 has been revised and replaced with a version dated March 2012.  The purpose of this revision is to update information and align this guide with the “CMAS Contract Application”, which was revised February 2012.  This guide provides information to help CMAS contractors manage their CMAS contracts, as well as general information about the CMAS Program.

February 13, 2012 – Payee Data Records in CMAS Contracts

Effective 2/13/2012, new CMAS contracts will no longer contain a copy of the Contractor’s Payee Data Record (Std. 204).  Since the information provided in the Payee Data Record may become outdated during the term of the CMAS contract, customer agencies are responsible for obtaining a current Std. 204 from the Contractor at the time the purchase order is issued.

CMAS Contractors are still required to provide a copy of their Std. 204 when submitting new or renewal CMAS contract application documents.

February 13, 2012 – Darfur Act Certifications in CMAS Contracts

Effective 2/13/2012, new CMAS contracts will no longer contain a copy of the Contractor’s Darfur Act certification.  The CMAS Unit will continue to require this document from the Contractor for all non-IT contract applications to determine their compliance with the Darfur Contracting Act.

February 1, 2012 – CMAS Contract Application Revised

The “CMAS Contract Application Guide” dated October 2010 has been revised, renamed, and replaced with the “CMAS Contract Application” effective February 1, 2012.  The purpose of this revision is to condense the length of the application, and make it easier to complete.

Some of the significant changes include:
  • FAQs regarding completing the application were added as a link.
  • The information regarding the “CMAS Program Overview” and “CMAS Requirements for GSA Schedules” were removed and can now be accessed through a link within the application.
  • On applications for consulting services, the requirement to attach signed labor category pages from the base GSA schedule to the customer references has been eliminated.

For ease of completion, the application is now available in PDF and MS Word versions.  In the future, the application will be converted to a Fill & Print format.

CMAS contract applicants should begin using this new application immediately; however, CMAS will continue to accept applications submitted on the October 2010 version through April 30, 2012.
