The Office of Risk and Insurance Management (ORIM) provides to state agencies, the following risk management services which are funded through an annual assessment:
- Review and advise on insurance requirements contained within:
- Construction Contracts
- Service Contracts
- Lease Contracts
- Bond Indentures
- Analysis and development of strategies to control and reduce losses
- Ongoing analysis of the most effective method for funding losses experienced by the state
- Issuance of self-insurance letters
- Assistance with contract negotiations with State Compensation Insurance Fund for the administration of workers' compensation claims
- Review of and make recommendation on risk management and insurance legislation impacting departments
- ORIM also provides on an hourly and/or project-driven basis, other risk management services
