Leasing State-Owned Vehicles

The Office of Fleet and Asset Management (OFAM) state garages lease passenger mobile equipment on a short-term (daily) basis to state employees conducting official state business. State employees may reserve vehicles on a daily basis for up to two weeks at a time. Alternative Fuel CNG (compressed natural gas) sedans are also available. CNG vehicles can travel up to 150 miles on a tank of fuel. Alternative fuel vehicles are recommended for local and short trips. 100% powered Electrical Vehicles (EV) are also available which can travel between 60-90 miles on one charge.

General Vehicle Reservation Information
  • You must be an active state employee, have a valid California driver's license, and a valid Agency Billing Code to reserve an OFAM vehicle.
  • Vehicles may be reserved on a daily basis for up to two weeks at a time.
  • When you pick up the vehicle you must present a valid driver's license and a valid Agency Billing Code for your office to ensure we bill the correct office.
  • Due to a shortage of vehicles, it is recommended you make your reservation online, or by phone, at least 24 hours in advance. Same day reservations are not recommended and do not guarantee vehicle availability.
Sacramento Reservation Center

Vehicle Pick up Hours:
7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, excluding state holidays.
