Information and eligibility guidelines to participate in the Federal Surplus Property Donee program
Public Auctions of Surplus Property and Vehicles
State-owned surplus personal property and mobile equipment is available to the general public at regularly scheduled public auctions.
Report misuse of State-owned vehicles

Requests for Public Records

Californians have a right under the California Public Records Act, the California Constitution, and the Governor's Executive Order S-03-06, to access public information maintained by government agencies.

Vehicle accident reporting information
The Office of Risk & Insurance Management (ORIM) administers the State Motor Vehicle Self Insurance Account (SMVIA), providing automobile liability self-insurance coverage to state employees who drive any of the State's owned or leased motor vehicles on state business.

STD 269 Accident Identification (interactive PDF) card shall be carried in the glove compartment of all State vehicles.

All vehicle accidents must be reported within 48 hours on a STD 270 Vehicle Accident Report (interactive PDF).

STD 274 State Driver Accident Review (interactive PDF) form must be completed within five (5) days from the date of an accident. This form is required for ALL accidents regardless of who was hurt, what property was damaged, or who was responsible.
